About Us
TRDA is ready to move into the future and will continue to push Tahlequah growth!
Distributor's Dream
Right near an airport and a highway hub, Tahlequah will give you all the advantages of the “Big City” at a fraction of the cost.
Logistically Perfect!
The key to logistics is location and positioning. Tahlequah has it all.
The Tahlequah Regional Development Authority’s mission is to advance and environment through partnerships which preserves, attracts, and promotes business growth in the Tahlequah community.
TRDA strives to support all businesses in the area. There has never been a truer statement in economic development than “A rising tide lifts all boats”. We know that if we can lift the tide, local businesses will thrive and grow together.
The TRDA Board of Trustees decided that there are 4 areas to focus on to continue growing our community: Entrepreneur and Small Business support, Business Recruitment and Expansion, Workforce Training and Talent Pipeline, and Housing. The Trustees hired Startup Junkie from Fayetteville, AR to complete a study on how to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem that will allow entrepreneurs and small businesses to thrive in our community. The study was completed in May 2021. TRDA staff is currently in the final stages of creating a guide to implement the study findings in the community.
TRDA has also partnered with the Fayetteville Economic Development Corporation to create a regional cluster, Heartland Advanced Medical Manufacturing Regional Cluster (HAMMRC). HAMMRC was created to bring local rural communities together to create one voice in recruiting medical device manufacturers. This group is tasked with getting companies to commit to the region to provide high paying, quality jobs for rural communities.
