Tahlequah is a region rich in assets and opportunity with a strong history of entrepreneurship and a supportive community willing to further embrace a growing culture of small business and startups.

Startup Junkie Foundation (“Consultant”), under the directive of the Tahlequah Regional Development Authority (“TRDA”) has completed an entrepreneurship ecosystem environmental study in Tahlequah and the surrounding area, specifically encompassing Cherokee county.

The key result of our study is a strong recommendation to develop this region as an entrepreneurial ecosystem as a critical means to strategically support the city’s initiatives of community engagement, economic development, and improved quality of life for Tahlequah residents.

The consultant has conducted a complete environmental scan, and this report includes key findings as well as a long-term projection of the business development and entrepreneurship opportunities for the region.
